Sila's mother has traveled back to Turkey to sort out her immigration paperwork, and nobody knows when she'll be able to come home. Missing her terribly, Sila finds an unlikely friend in Mr. Mitchell, a lonely man who has just won the lottery, and together they take on a surprising mission to rescue an elephant in need. A warm, hopeful story about family, friendship, and kindness from the author of Counting by 7s.
