Shipping Policy

Where we ship
We ship to addresses in the contiguous United States. We can’t ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations at this time.

Shipping rates
Every order ships with tracking.

  • Orders under $50: $7.99 flat rate
  • Orders of $50 or more: free shipping
  • Books by Camas Swale Books authors, including The 100-Year Plan: always ship free

The $50 is based on your merchandise subtotal after discounts and before tax. Your exact shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay.

Club shipping
Club orders ship separately from regular book orders, and club shipping is charged with each month’s club payment. Free shipping on book orders doesn’t apply to clubs.

  • Snail Mail Club: $2.00 per envelope
  • Surprise Book Club: $5.00 per box

Clubs ship during the first week of each month. The cutoff for the next month’s shipment is the 25th, which gives us time to prepare each box.

  • Orders placed from the 1st through the 25th ship in the first week of the following month.
  • Orders placed after the 25th are added to the next available shipping date.

Processing and delivery times
Most orders leave our distribution partner within 1–3 business days after payment processes. Delivery usually takes another 3–8 business days, depending on your location. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Books by Camas Swale Books authors ship directly from us in Eugene, Oregon, within 3 business days.

Camas Swale Classics editions are printed to order and ship separately. Please allow 14 business days for printing before they ship.

Tracking
We email you a tracking number when your order ships. Orders with several books may arrive in more than one package, each with its own tracking number.

Delays and out-of-stock titles
If a book can’t ship within the times above, we’ll email you a new estimate. You can choose to wait or cancel for a full refund of that item. If a title becomes unavailable after you order, we’ll let you know and refund it promptly.

Address accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We can’t change an address after an order has shipped. If a package comes back because of an incorrect or incomplete address, we’ll contact you about reshipping, and the reshipping cost will be charged to you.

Lost or damaged packages
If tracking shows your package as delivered but you didn’t receive it, check with neighbors and your local post office, then contact us within 14 days of the delivery date. If your order arrives damaged, email us a photo within 7 days and we’ll make it right.
