Flamer

Summer 1995: Aiden Navarro is fourteen, Filipino American, and spending one last week at Boy Scout camp before high school. He's bullied for seeming different, struggles with his Catholic faith, and is confused by his feelings for his friend Elias. Drawing on his own adolescence, Mike Curato tells a raw, tender coming-of-age story in black, white, and fiery orange about learning to accept yourself.
