First Mage on the Moon

Ella Pickering was a skymage flying supply runs in the endless war with the Ranneas Empire until a crash left her using a wheelchair and working punishing shifts in a magical weapons workshop. Then she watches an engineer's failed experiment rocket into the sky, and a dangerous idea takes hold: could magic carry them to the moon, the forbidden home of the gods, to beg them to end the war? A clever, big-hearted space-race fantasy about class, disability, and quiet rebellion.
