Brat: An '80s Story

Actor and travel writer Andrew McCarthy looks back on his unlikely rise from a New Jersey teenager to one of the faces of 1980s teen cinema, with films like Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo's Fire. He writes candidly about fame arriving before he was ready for it, the "Brat Pack" label he never wanted, and the drinking that shadowed those years. A reflective, often funny memoir about growing up in public.
