Back Up and Printing Again
Share
This week the shop went quiet in one particular way: the printer went down, and it stayed down all week.
If you run a small shop, you know what that means. The printer isn't just a machine here — it's how the club letters get printed, how the recipe cards get made, how the little extras that go into a package come to life. When it stops, a whole shelf of plans stops with it.
So this was a week of ordering parts, waiting on deliveries, and learning exactly which piece does what. And then, finally, the good part: it came back up, and it's running great. We're back to testing — trying new products, seeing what prints cleanly, what holds up in a package, what feels right in the hand.
One of those tests is now part of the lineup: custom printed companion workbooks. These are workbooks printed here in the shop, made to go alongside a book — pages you can actually write in, work through, and keep. I like them because they're useful in a way a loose extra isn't. They don't just decorate a package; they give you something to do with the book once it lands on your table.
That's the direction the shop is heading: fewer throwaway extras, more things made here that are worth keeping.
Thank you for sticking with us through a week of printer trouble. The shop is back up, the testing table is full, and the next packages out the door will show it.
